Prosegue senza sosta la nascita di nuove realtà musicali italiane nell’ambito del Rock Progressivo; questa volta con i romani Adieu.Reset si va nel territorio più moderno, quello influenzato da generi come Post-Rock, Shoegaze e Progressive Dark.
Questa costola del Rock Progressivo unisce tinte intimistiche oscure ed oniriche, con lo scopo principale di entrare non soltanto nel cuore ma soprattutto nella testa dell’ascoltatore per lasciare al suo interno un segno emotivo. Così descrivono la loro musica: “Volevamo creare una musica che desse la sensazione di trovarsi ai margini di qualcosa di vasto: bello, inquietante e in continuo cambiamento”.
La band italo olandese è formata da Merel van Dijk (voce), Alberto Bitonti (tastiere), Alessandro Sgarito (basso, chitarre), e Simon Fedrigo (batteria).
“Lago” è il risultato del debutto composto da sette canzoni. Lo specchio d’acqua è preso come parafrasi di un ambiente immobile ma che al di sotto nasconde correnti mutevoli e profonde, proprio come la loro musica.
Sin da “Tivoli” si percepisce lo stile della band supportato dalla bella voce di Merel van Dijk, e dalla chitarra dell’ospite Andrea Bianchi Di Castelbianco, sensazioni eteree ed effetti eco vocali a rendere il tutto altamente passionale . La voce femminile ben si adatta a questo stile sonoro, non a caso numerose oggi sono le band ad adoperarsi in questa maniera.  
Attraverso “The Oven” si possono percepire sensazioni rilasciate ultimamente anche dai maestri Radiohead, come essere immersi dentro un sogno fluttuante. Poi ci sono quei brevi arpeggi di chitarra elettrica che rilasciano un fascino ineccepibile. Vi ritroverete a ciondolare durante l’ascolto a vostra insaputa tanto è coinvolgente l’andamento. Romanticamente sognante “Digits Of Pi.” come hanno saputo narrare gruppi come Paatos o Anathema. Ampie sono le uscite strumentali a coronare lo scopo.
In “The Hive” si propone una scelta compositiva maggiormente ricercata e ritmata, su un ritornello gradevole e un approccio di chitarra che vede ritornare  Andrea Bianchi Di Castelbianco a sostegno.
“Paving O” alza maggiormente il ritmo sempre rimanendo in territorio Radiohead, mentre “September Tide” è una vera e propria perla sonora dove il flicorno dell’ospite Roberto Mares apre a nuovi scenari. Sono quelle canzoni ipnotiche che piacciono agli estimatori di questo genere tipicamente nostalgico.
La conclusiva title track è bandiera dello stile Adieu.Reset, ancora con Mares e questa volta con l’aggiunta di Fernando Pinto alla chitarra. Echi donano profondità alle sensazioni che scaturiscono durante l’ascolto magnetico.
Questa nuova realtà musicale è una navicella per poter viaggiare su sensazioni intramontabili, quelle del sogno, della leggerezza e della riflessione. Musica per chi non ha paura di lasciarsi coinvolgere dalla malinconia. MS

The birth of new Italian musical realities in the field of Progressive Rock continues unabated; this time with the Romans Adieu.Reset, we enter the more modern territory, influenced by genres such as Post-Rock, Shoegaze, and Progressive Dark.
This branch of Progressive Rock combines dark and dreamy intimistic tones, with the main goal of entering not only the heart but especially the listener's mind to leave an emotional mark. This is how they describe their music: "We wanted to create music that gave the feeling of being on the margins of something vast: beautiful, disturbing, and constantly changing".
The Italo-Dutch band consists of Merel van Dijk (vocals), Alberto Bitonti (keyboards), Alessandro Sgarito (bass, guitars), and Simon Fedrigo (drums).
"Lago" is the result of their debut, composed of seven songs. The water mirror is taken as a paraphrase of an immobile environment that hides changing and deep currents underneath, just like their music.
From "Tivoli", the band's style is perceived, supported by Merel van Dijk's beautiful voice and guest Andrea Bianchi Di Castelbianco's guitar, ethereal sensations and vocal echo effects make everything highly passionate. The female voice fits perfectly into this sound style, not by chance, many bands are now working in this way.
Through "The Oven", one can perceive sensations recently released by the masters Radiohead, as if immersed in a floating dream. Then there are those brief electric guitar arpeggios that release an impeccable charm. You will find yourself swaying during the listening without realizing it, so engaging is the rhythm. Romantic and dreamy "Digits Of Pi", as groups like Paatos or Anathema have been able to narrate. The instrumental releases are ample and crown the purpose.
In "The Hive", a more researched and rhythmic compositional choice is proposed, on a pleasant chorus and a guitar approach that sees Andrea Bianchi Di Castelbianco return to support.
"Paving O" increases the rhythm even more, always remaining in Radiohead territory, while "September Tide" is a real sonic pearl where guest Roberto Mares' flugelhorn opens up new scenarios. These are the hypnotic songs that fans of this typically melancholic genre like.
The conclusive title track is the flag of Adieu.Reset's style, again with Mares and this time with the addition of Fernando Pinto on guitar. Echoes give depth to the sensations that arise during the magnetic listening.
This new musical reality is a spaceship to travel on timeless sensations, those of dreams, lightness, and reflection. Music for those who are not afraid to be involved in melancholy. MS
