SPECIALE SERATE TRASIMENO PROG 2025:

 

 
Anche quest’anno Castiglione del Lago, nella location della Rocca Leone, ha ospitato il quinto evento del Trasimeno Prog.

Il 21 agosto è stata la volta del Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso, un concerto interrotto sfortunatamente verso la fine dalla pioggia, quando mancavano soltanto circa trenta minuti al termine della performance. Il fatto non ha comunque influito sulla carismatica prestazione della band, sempre amata da un numeroso gruppo di fan. Buona l’affluenza di pubblico.

Il 22 agosto sarebbe dovuta essere la serata musicale dedicata ai Pink Floyd, con i The Real Pink Floyd Experience e l’album “Wish You Were Here”, i Finisterre con “The Dark Side of the Moon” e le Rane Strane con “The Wall”, ma dopo il soundcheck verso le 19.00 si è scatenato l’inferno con un temporale violentissimo di oltre un’ora e mezza che ha messo a repentaglio anche le sofisticate strumentazioni.

Con rammarico, lo staff organizzativo ha dovuto rimandare il concerto a data da destinarsi o eventualmente offrire il rimborso del biglietto.

Impeccabile, come sempre, l’organizzazione e lo sforzo di Alfredo Buonumori, vero e proprio tuttofare del Trasimeno Prog!

Anche la serata del 23 agosto dei King Crimson Project e della The David Cross Band ha presentato insidie meteorologiche, ma questa volta il tempo è stato clemente, lasciando che tutto si potesse svolgere al meglio. Il temporale del giorno prima ha portato tuttavia problemi agli impianti elettrici e alle apparecchiature e, con non pochi sforzi degli addetti ai lavori, si è potuto procedere all’evento. Qualche mancanza di corrente ha infastidito la prova iniziale della The David Cross Band, ma alla fine tutto è andato per il meglio.

L’apertura è stata affidata ai King Crimson Project di Giacomo Anselmi, Daniele Pomo, Danilo Cherni e Valerio Magli, autori di una prova sopra le righe, coinvolgente e tecnicamente ineccepibile. La band ha suonato brani classici derivanti da album storici come “Red” e “In the Court of the Crimson King”, solo per fare due nomi. Il numeroso pubblico ha risposto con entusiasmo alla performance.

La The David Cross Band ha interpretato l’album “Larks’ Tongues in Aspic” e classici come “Starless” tratto da “Red” nel finale. La caratura dei singoli componenti è fuori discussione; il violino di Cross è magia pura e queste sonorità hanno fatto scorrere brividi sulla pelle degli appassionati di questa musica senza tempo. L’atmosfera nella splendida Rocca Leone è diventata magica, come se il tempo si fosse fermato al passato.

Fuori si sono potuti visitare i sei chioschi di commercianti di dischi, per la “gioia” dei nostri portafogli da collezionisti. Materiale interessante fra CD, DVD e vinili per tutti i gusti. All’interno, i vari merchandising delle band, fra dischi, magliette e quant’altro.

Anche il sottoscritto ha potuto mettere in esposizione la propria libreria, che ha riscontrato curiosità e interesse. Per questo ringrazio Alfredo Buonumori e tutto lo staff efficiente, ospitale e cortese, come poche volte mi è capitato di riscontrare.

Segue, in chiusura, il 24 agosto a Perugia, la serata “Profondo Rosso - 50th Anniversary” con Claudio Simonetti e i Goblin e la proiezione durante il concerto del film in analisi.

Ogni agosto Trasimeno Prog è ormai una data imperdibile per tutti gli amanti della buona musica, e la cosa più bella che ho potuto riscontrare è stata la varietà di pubblico, che ha spaziato in tutte le età, dal meno giovane al più giovane, a testimonianza che se la musica è di qualità piace sempre! Spettacolo coinvolgente e variegato. Complimenti a tutti!

This year again, Castiglione del Lago, at the Rocca Leone venue, hosted the fifth edition of Trasimeno Prog.
On August 21st, it was the turn of Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, a concert unfortunately interrupted towards the end by rain, with only about thirty minutes left to the end of the performance. However, the fact didn't affect the charismatic performance of the band, always loved by a large group of fans. Good attendance.

August 22nd was supposed to be the musical evening dedicated to Pink Floyd, with The Real Pink Floyd Experience and the album "Wish You Were Here", Finisterre with "The Dark Side of the Moon" and Rane Strane with "The Wall". But after the soundcheck around 7 pm, a violent storm lasting over an hour and a half broke out, putting the sophisticated equipment at risk.
With regret, the organizing staff had to postpone the concert to a date to be determined or offer a ticket refund.

The evening of August 23rd with King Crimson Project and The David Cross Band presented weather challenges again, but this time the weather was kind, allowing everything to go smoothly. However, the storm from the previous day caused problems with the electrical systems and equipment. After some effort from the staff, the event was able to proceed. Some power outages bothered the initial rehearsal of The David Cross Band, but in the end, everything went well.

The opening act was King Crimson Project, made up of Giacomo Anselmi, Daniele Pomo, Danilo Cherni, and Valerio Magli, who delivered an over-the-top, engaging, and technically flawless performance. The band played classic songs from albums like "Red" and "In the Court of the Crimson King", just to name a few. The large audience responded enthusiastically to the performance.

The David Cross Band performed the album "Larks' Tongues in Aspic" and classics like "Starless" from "Red" at the end. The caliber of each member is undeniable; Cross's violin is pure magic, and these sounds sent shivers down the spines of fans of this timeless music. The atmosphere in the beautiful Rocca Leone became magical, as if time had stopped in the past.
Outside, visitors could check out the six record merchant booths, a "treat" for our collector's wallets. There was interesting material among CDs, DVDs, and vinyl records for all tastes. Inside, there were various band merchandise, including records, t-shirts, and more.I was also able to showcase my own bookshop, which sparked curiosity and interest. For this, I thank Alfredo Buonumori and the entire efficient, hospitable, and courteous staff, which is rare to find.

The event will conclude on August 24th in Perugia with the evening "Profondo Rosso - 50th Anniversary" featuring Claudio Simonetti and Goblin, accompanied by a screening of the film during the concert.
Every August, Trasimeno Prog has become a must-attend event for all lovers of good music. The most beautiful thing I've noticed is the variety of the audience, spanning all ages, from the youngest to the oldest, proving that quality music is always appreciated! The show was engaging and diverse. Congratulations to all!
