L’origine di questo lavoro va ricercata nell’invito che ricevetti nella tarda primavera del 2022 dal M° Marco Maria Tosolini di partecipare come ospite alla trasmissione da lui ideata La voce di Calliope – dodici incontri con poeti apocalittici e integrati. Tosolini mi chiese di spedirgli qualche testo che avrebbe fatto pervenire alla sede Rai di Trieste spiegandomi che un’attrice, Marzia Postogna, li avrebbe letti durante il programma radiofonico. Una volta che ebbi riascoltato il podcast mi si accese la lampadina. Non potevo esimermi dallo sfruttare la favolosa recitazione dell’attrice. È abbastanza impressionante ascoltare le proprie parole interpretate da qualcun altro, le stesse parole che ti sgorgarono da dentro lette da una voce che non è la tua…

...da un punto di vista più strettamente musicale l’opera abbraccia momenti ferreamente determinati (Bambino – Arbui ta fumata – Io?), libere e solitarie improvvisazioni (Skepsis), sostando talvolta in ciò che abita la terra di mezzo tra queste due polarità (Ancora zwischen Dasein – Pachea a Sarvignan – Saggezza vegetale). Una corsa a perdifiato attraverso le righe dei miei quaderni tra chitarre aliene e spesso irriconoscibili, gelida elettronica siderale, sinistri e striscianti suoni biomorfi, allarmanti rumori insinuanti, organi afasici, ipnagogici pianoforti aleatori e, udite udite, pure il buon vecchio mellotron.

The roots of this artwork are to be found in the invitation I received from M° Marco Maria Tosolini in the late spring of 2022 for a participation as a guest at the radio show he had conceived named La voce di Calliope – dodici incontri con poeti apocalittici e integrati (Calliope’s voice – twelve encounters with apocalyptic and integrated poets).Tosolini invited me to send him some writings which he would then have delivered to the Rai headquarter in Trieste explaining to me that they would be read by an actress, Marzia Postogna, on the radio show. Once I had played the podcast a light bulb went off in my head. I couldn’t help but to capitalize on the amazing performance of the actress herself. It’s quite impressing to listen your own words performed by someone else, the same words that once gushed out of you from the inside read by a voice which is not your own’s one…

...from a more strictly musical standpoint the artwork embraces fully highly determined moments (Bambino – Arbui ta fumata – Io?),free and solitary improvisations (Skepsis), sometimes lingering in the middle ground between these two poles (Ancora zwischen Dasein – Pachea a Sarvignan – Saggezza vegetale). A headlong rush through the lines of my notebooks among alien and often unrecognizable guitars, chilling sidereal electronics, spooky and creepy biomorphic sounds, alarming and insinuating noises, aphasic organs, hypnagogic aleatory pianos and, hear ye hear ye, the good old mellotron as well.
